Join us at Bayonne Public Library for Tech Thursdays with our Adult Services Librarian, Bill! All sessions meet on Thursdays from 2:30-3:30 pm in the Basement. Each class will have a specific focus.
This class will focus on iPhones.

Individual class descriptions are below:
Amazon: Amazon is one of the largest online retailers. But it is far more than that. It provides television, movies, music, photo storage, services, and much more. This class will be a brief introduction to some of Amazon's services. Students will learn how to create an Amazon account, how to search for items, how to purchase them, and much more. There are no prerequisites for this class.
iPhone: The iPhone was the first smartphone. It is a cellular telephone combined with a computer and an iPod. You can do almost anything with an iPhone. In this class, students will learn how to use an iPhone. They will learn about calling and texting. They will also learn about apps and how to add them. To get the most out of this class, students should have an iPhone.
Zoom: Zoom is a popular video conferencing program. In this class, students will learn how to set up a Zoom account, how to join a meeting, and how to start a meeting. Zoom can be used on computers as well as on mobile devices. Each student will participate in a Zoom meeting. An email account that can be accessed during class is the only prerequisite.
Streaming TV and Movies: Students will learn about several of the online streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and HBOMax. They will learn to subscribe and how to navigate the menu. They will learn about streaming devices such as the Amazon Fire Stick or the Roku. Setting up a smart television will be briefly discussed.
